Calpulli Mexican Dance Company was founded in 2003 with a mission to “celebrate the rich diversity of Mexican and Mexican-American cultural heritage through dance-based programming including live music.” We’ve worked with them since 2008, making broadcast commercials, filming performances and special events, and in schools where their Arts-in-Education programs thrive. The vibrancy and impact of Calpulli's work not only educates, but thoroughly entertains, and we are thrilled to help them light up faces in communities across the country.
For Calpulli’s Arts-in-Education program, we conducted in-depth interviews with teachers, administrators, and students, and filmed during classes and performances at public schools.
A lot goes on behind the scenes in production, but understanding an organization's mission is paramount. Effective stories connect mission and impact, and this happens when expert camerawork and editing are inseparable from the team that understands your message.
Incorporating multiple points of view allowed us to show, not tell how the enthusiasm Calpulli creates in schools affects students, teachers, and administrators alike. The short, shareable video we created illustrates the benefits of the Company's curriculum in schools.
Calpulli Danza Mexicana is an internationally touring dance company. Combining deeply researched Mexican folk traditions with breathtaking costuming and dancing, thrill abounds in the theater and audiences roar with delight. An excellent promotional video and well-designed strategy can convert ticket sales to selling out of tickets.
Immersive footage invokes kinesthetic response: and if your audience is moved they watch longer, retain more, and grow closer to your work. We bring a full-bodied, three-dimensional experience of being onstage right to your seat.
